Stepping Stones

Sometimes life give you
Life lessons
Instead of love.
Stepping stones,
Scattered throughout
All phases of life.
Showing you signs,
Making memories
And with each loss
Something is learned.
They say a person takes
A little something
From every person
They’ve been with.
We are merely
A collection of connections.
Our experiences
And associations
Shape us.
