Stepping Stone

Basically you've told me 
That everything I've said is the truth 
You long to hold me
The same way that I dream of holding you 

It's a high price we pay, not to say
What lives between our souls
We may not have a past to call our own
But we've a lifetime to go

This is just a stepping stone
On our way, to finally finding our forever
Baby please don't go
Cause I know, we can find it all together

When I look in your eyes
All I see is paradise
And the love our two hearts have sown
Who'd have known that our first step to forever
Was just a stepping stone

Baby walk this path beside me
Let's turn, our dreams into a home
Let's make sure all our promises
Walk the pathway of our souls

We keep tryin to fight these feelings
But you know that I'm lost without you
