Step of Courage
Dramatically the door burst open!
It was as bright as day.
May I step out of this this dark space?
I have enclosed myself within.
I have always dreamed of being,
seeing what is on the outside.
I learned to stay hidden in this dark room.
The light of the door is warm, brilliant,
thrilling and attracting my creativity.
I sense a want, "to be!"
I no longer wish to be hidden,
Forbidden with no where to go.
Out there, can there be fulfillment?
I make my way to the edge
Wedged between light and dark shadows.
Blinded by the light, I look forward.
I see no reason to continue
Ingenued as a drone.
It is my time.
I will never know success
Confessed without shining.
My shadow is enveloped with the light.
The world is shining through
Brandnew; I know little of this place.
I fear leaving the safety of my darkness.
The risk is great venturing on
Foregone with the past.
Onward bound through the open door.
I follow the light from here out
About time I let my creativity shine!
