Stealing Brilliance
My brilliance lied dormant
(until you untied it)
And stole it from my heart
(glimmering rays of silver sparkle)
I felt the knot untwisting while you
tugged lightly, as if to say...
"bows can be tied again, but hearts
can never be without some scar tissue"
When you untied me-
You unleashed vast quantities
[of]
adoration
kindness
willingness
and
care
As you tied me back-
You held onto pieces of
[my]
shimmer
shine
light
and
love
Capable hands always need
capable strings
Can we build Jacob's ladder
with the strings of my heart
and yours?
That way I can climb through
the door of your soul, and steal
your brilliance too....
