Staying the Same

It’s easy to do nothing Though there’s lots I’d like to change. The old stuff is familiar, With no need to rearrange. So I find if I procrastinate The hours melt away And before I know what hit me – Poof! There goes another day. I admire those who sally forth And tackle things they should. It would be so great to join them And I’d do it if I could.

It's easy to do nothing and it's hard to stay the same. For when we sit and watch the world, our lives become quite lame.

Boy can I relate to this little gem Ilene. Where does the time go to? I feel as if it is going at warp speed and I don't get nearly enough done each day. I enjoyed this! : )

As I grapple with old age I find myself wanting to do less and less, with the exception of writing. Not to write everyday is like not eating every day or having my glass of wine, or not petting my dog. What a dull life I'd have! / M
