Stay Firm In the Promise

Let not the church, nor the people, Let not the songs, nor the steeple. Cause my firm faith or love to flee, For my spirit remains in thee. As I look up, to azure skies, Or listen to the birds up high. May my heart jump with boundless glee, For my spirit remains in thee. Through sombre days that I will tread, Where at times I long to be fed. I lift my voice, for he saves me, For my spirit remains in thee. When at last my short time draws nigh, I breathe my last and say goodbye. Let me know, in heart, where I'll be, For my spirit remains in thee. 20/01/2020
