Stay Angry

I'm woke
I'm atop bell towers in Philadelphia
I'm on horseback in a dark night
I'm on hills in Boston ready to fight
I'm woke
In this year 2018
And I'm angry at what I've seen
I want our children to live
Through this revolution
Through the evolution
To a sound solution
I'm woke
I'm angry
I'm out of thoughts
I'm tired of empty prayers
I'm tired of innocence slayers
I want a more perfect union
I will stay angry
Through every election
Until the rising stock of death
Finds its correction
I will march
With the bones of short lives
And with the voices of survival's tears
I will use my anger to darken opposition fears
I'm woke
I'm armed with anger
I will defeat this apathy
My leaders will be woke
They will see
