stay so still, baby
they can hear us laughing.
stay quiet and honest
be so very honest.
stay with me,
even when winter lasts all year.
promise you'll stay
even when i show you
the snow falling in june.
i want to stay here long enough
to feel the wrinkles sink.
stay here in the dark
safe from everyone.
stay with me,
because i need you there
when i start to lose my mind.
stay with me,
because you know what i need.
under the cotton sheets
your skin feels like magic.
breathe your name into me
i need you like i need the sea.
