Stay

A defiant beat banging on my ear drums in
The cool evening air, and under the stars I become
Free – leaping, and leering at the walls of my prison
And behold: I am no more; I was dead, but I have risen

There are no rules and limitations - Congratulations
I pat myself on the back: this was my graduation
I can do anything, I can go anywhere - life is a game
I found my way out of this maze; a new man I became

I thought of you, too and everything you have to go through
When they tell you you`re just a thinking animal in a zoo
I hope you`ll find love, patience, and some light in the dark
Next time stay, and together we’ll walk through the park
