Stating the Facts

Written By D.Collins 7/13/18
After all these years, I'm taking my rightful place.
Right next to you, joined at the waist.
Because without you, there could never be me.
A chin-checked brotha whose down eternally.
I'm just stating the facts from what I've been through.
The kind of love I need is what I got from you.
I'm not always pleasant and in the best of moods.
After a few choice words, then everything is cool.
Longevity does that. You learn what battles to pick.
You learn how that can make you very, sick.
I'm just stating the facts of how good you've got it.
That "Gift from God," that's straight up 'Bout It, 'Bout It.
