Static State

STATIC STATE

Now I lie down to slip in sleep.
         Forgotten love only to peep.
         I can’t remember that moment,
Months, years passed, could not recollect.

        Reminiscences drift and slip
Now I lie down to slip in sleep.
Her sudden glance flashed on my heart.
        Passionate neurons were alert.

No other glances touched my mind.
Time advanced, I was left behind.
Now I lie down to slip in sleep.
My emotive urge sinking in creep.

I waited and waited so long.
My broken heart feigned to be strong.
I yearned for those glances so deep.
Now I lie down to slip in sleep.

Congrats on your winning work. Way to go. Those restless nights are no fun for whatever reason they bug us. Sara

Very nice Anisha. The quatern format really works well with the sense of falling into sleep and your first line really sets up everything that follows. Congratulations on your win. Blessings of sweet dreams to you!
