State of the Union, May 20, 2025

              Crime is up around here
                 though it’s down over there

              Inflation at the meat counter's got us upset
                  Yet eggs are priced down, grab all you can get

              Tariffs making owners of companies most uneasy
                 Customers, too, are cautious and queasy

               Wall Street sells off on Monday, a thousand points down
                  Investors buy the dip Tuesday, all the losses turned around

               As for war and peace, ask the Pope
                  He’s pushing peace ~ They say he’s no dope

               Bottom line for me and you
		        ~  SNAFU!  ~
