Starting Over
The open highway sings a sweet song to me
Calling me to pack my bags and to hastily flee
To the next new and exciting chapter in my life
A whole new world with no heartache or strife
The new people we meet, I hope they are nice
We'll never have regrets or have to think twice
About the choices we have made along the way
The consequences seen at the end of the day
My family means the world to me, understand?
They are the foundation of all I have planned
A second chance at life, what a sweet thing
What wonderful surprises can it possibly bring?
Whether they are good or whether they are bad
I will treasure it like everything else I ever had
I try to be nice, pleasant, and very kind to all
But sometimes I stumble and I still fall
But I am ready to make the move today
To start to love, to laugh and to play
Starting over sounds so very nice to me
With so many places I have yet to see
