Notes About The Poem

Started Loving Me Again

Started Loving Me Again

Today I,
started loving me again.
I turned away from yesterday
and things from way back then.
And today I,
started loving me again

No used to be's, not meant for me's
no lovers lies you told me.
No stupid fights and lonely nights
with no one here to hold me.

No senseless games, some others names
and slipping way off track.
No broken hearts and brand new starts
no knife wounds in my back.

Cause today I,
started loving me again.
I turned away from yesterday
and things from way back then.
And today I,
started loving me again.

No tears to cry, don't matter why
no looking back no more.
I'm finding me, I finally see
I'm not who I was before.

No broken dreams or silent screams
my heart cried out each night.
No more of you to make me blue
this time I'll get it right.

And today I,
started loving me again.
I turned away from yesterday
and things from way back then.
And today I,
started loving me again.

I felt a connection to this piece. Your rhymes are so effortless and your meter always on point.
