Start Right Here

Written By: D. Collins 2/27/25

If all you've ever known is just how to survive.
And there is no door open for you to thrive.
You'll become what you'll become 'cause everyone has to eat.
Including black and brown babies not yet on their feet.
When they start growing with an environment the same.
They're bound to add another link to an endless chain.
Provide them with incentive to have them reach for gold.
Instead of repeated visions of police chokeholds.
Rather than building "Trump's Gaza" from the ground up.
Do "Ghetto Removal" right here and be as quick and abrupt.
By just doing that produces crazy hope in young men.
Which means a whole lot less prisons to house them in.
