Stars Splash

The sea had climbed the mountain peaks,
And shouted to the stars
To come to play: and down they came
Splashing in happy wars.
Gilbert Chesterton

Stars Splash

Fire and water
cancel one another
And I am flesh in
the splash of elements
not worn down by centuries
but able to soar the stars

Earth and wind will
claim me
Scatter me on the sea
dying for a war
cell by cell
When all that is gone
battle by battle
Then will I be free?

Where seas, fountain
once more, through
a rain of stars.

Hi Su I like the use of figurative language in your poem. It is as if the sea and water and all the elements mentioned in this piece take on a complete human form. A very nice poem.

Yes, Suz-D, Earth and wind will claim you for they have created you but there is something more superior in you that no element can take it away: YOUR SOUL! Yes, free will you be once every cell of yours dies away BUT alive you will remain! Thoughtful and thought-provoking poem! Thank you!
