Stars in the Night Sky

As the sunlight fades to black
And the air begins to chill ever so slightly
I’m laying in the soft grass
Staring at the millions of stars
And I’m thinking
How it seems so unfair
That so many struggle every single day
So many people fade into the darkness
Getting trapped
Becoming lost
With no way of finding a Haven
No way of becoming something stronger
Because not everyone has a home
Has a lover to fall back on
And these people struggle
Fight day in and day out
Just to survive
Only to hang on by a thread
Only to be overshadowed by everyone else
People, we are like the stars in the night sky
We all shine
Some just really catch your eye
While others linger in the distance
