Stars Harvest the Darkness

Stars harvest darkness for their light
Between the recesses, silences require quiet
As required by the distances tracked
Immeasurable across the universal black

There is plenty of time for gravity to settle down
In the recesses between the quiet of the silences
Where worlds are not the same below the formed

New planets come in the company of moons
Rounding out the day as solids do
Solids know their way around the universe
Coming in to land wherever land is smooth

Polished stones on rolling waves arrive on time
As old as time, touched by the softest brush
To find the right conclusion in the tides

Lightning dazzles spectators in the rain
Camped in the forest by the rivers edge
Swept away by tidal forces rising mighty
Still thrilled at the chance of getting wet

And then there are the doomed
Among the solitary intruders in the worlds
And nights are always there to find solutions

In the beginning where rocks were formed
Gathered up from dust among the clouds of nothing
Minerals watched with minimal concern
As nature has the final word though worlds apart

Stars harvest darkness for their light
Between the recesses, silences require quiet
As required by the distances tracked
Immeasurable across the universal black
