Stars and Sky

Milky Way stars glow
much brighter when far offshore...
     navigator’s guide

ever-changing sky
glorious dawns and sunsets...
     spectrums shine above

lights in heaven’s seams,
stars are smiles from those who passed...
   there they wait for us

What an awesome Haiku, Carolyn! Congratulations on your third place in Linda-Marie contest, " Haiku Hodgepodge. " You have painted a celestial scene that makes the human heart rejoice with the hope of seeing those who have passed. The last line of verse three has touched me deeply, " There they wait for us. " Best wishes and thanks for your comments. Have a wonderful day and God bless. Love and Hugs, Andrew.

I love what you've written here. Did you get to see the latest meteor shower a few weeks ago. It was my first shooting star show for me since moving back to the big panoramic skies of Florida. You really don't notice just how huge the sky looks from a flat surface, until you move to the mountains for a while! Interesting name in "HODGEpodge" , I NEVER see that word. Last night I had a very funny nightmare about a jabba the hut looking lady out to kiss me named "HODGEPODGE" I wrote a poem on it!~

This is a fantastic write, simply fabulous! The stars and the sky seem to sometimes all blend together with a beauty compared to none! "...stars are smiles from those who passed..." what a perfect line that is, Carolyn! You've done awesome with this poem, Great Work!!

I like the way you crafted this Mrs. Carolyn, it adds to the beauty of the words. Succinct in summary and a lovely way of framing what those of us who believe... believe. Best of luck in the contest!

So beautiful, Carolyn! The lasy senyru is my favorite of those I've read so far. Such a wonderful idea to think of our loved ones who have passed smiling down from the sky in starlight. Blessings, Rhonda
