Starry Night

Sun slowly disappears over the horizon, Getting darker by the minute, Moon comes out and stars twinkle and shine, The north star being the brightest of all casts light far and wide, Stars that are millions of miles away yet seen, Looking at the majestic night sky in awe, Bats begin to swoop then fly away, Owls hoot a fox cries out, A hedgehog rolls into a ball, Will I see a badger also? It's getting cold out, Shivering I look down, Yet being loathed to go inside, I walk away heading home, Hearing the animals cries fill the quiet night, The moon lights the way for me and the animals too We head our separate ways
