Starring You

I taste the rain of light you shower
Come the dark of the late night hour
You glow as you flow and grow like mist
And it shows as I bite my clenched fist

I can’t believe my stars - this is a SEE
Blinded by your brilliance - hotter than Venus
You’re branded in my eyes forevermore
I’ll feel your warmth deep in my core

I’ve danced with a star – I’ll never be the same
Baptised in a universal name - I'm gald I came
My morning star – pulsing beauty & humility
My evening star – a beacon of prosperity

In the story of my life – starring you
May we love until we burn through
Be spontaneous as when stars touch
-stuck to each other like glue
Phenomenal as a flaming torch
-when you say I do
