Starlit Souls
When darkest night wraps the weary land,
And clouds retreat to let the heavens glow,
I lift mine eyes, as once my father planned,
To where the souls of lost beloveds go.
He spake: “When grief thy tender heart shall burn,
Look to the stars—our love shall there return.”
So when the world is mute to all my cries,
I whisper sorrow to the listening skies.
The stars, like windows into times long fled,
Reveal the faces of my cherished dead.
No voice they need—through silence, they impart
The warmth once kindled deep within my heart.
Love's essence shines, in starry sea,
Forever in heart, a legacy.
