Starlit Skies

Cloaked and barefoot traversing alone
Beneath the sparkling stars from high above
I yearned for your closeness by my side
A hand to hold cheek to kiss someone to love
I whisper your name to the wind trusting
She will fill your ears with my sweet nothings
As I close my eyes and cross my arms
I wish I was holding you my sweet soul
I yearn for you your taste your touch
One day through time we shall meet
To touch to taste to talk to love to eat.
I feel you my soul but than it will be complete.

Very pretty romantic imagery, Kelli! Just love the line, 'to touch, to taste, to talk, to love, to eat.' Beautiful! Best wishes, Gershon

This is simply beautiful Kellie. The entire poem. I have to say though, I concur with Spock the first two lines possess depth and to me are not only the hook that draws you in, they could be quite profound...add in the next two lines, perhaps there is someone there all ready, invisible, who is guiding you to the other soul you are calling out to as you whisper to that wind. Thank you very much LL . Hungry is the soul that only a soul can feed. Hence soulmate. Kelli
