Starlit Resources

Starlit Resources

May brings desert winds giving a warm Spring when least you expect it...
 Unknown to the letter,
 unreached like pictures

 Suddenly rising up, uncalled,
Yet pressing on horizons, never defined,
 moving beyond rainbows,
Pillars of stone, and lighted caves

Search into the dusk from dawn,
 searching for beginnings and ends
October brings rains, waterfalls get started, missed all year
While we search the hillsides for signs of life.

Another Spring more flowers, talking again,
Tides come and go the rooms go past again,
 speeding by life
The rest of a domeless habitat

 Unspent bottles, shattered glasses,
Forests edging onto gleaming fields of steel
Where primates once again roam the byways of this earth
Questions come and go, far and wide, roaming on the run

ideas are roped in, filed, gassed, and deposited in crematoria
 crime spills onto the streets,
cannibal Cretans living in painted homes
Live illusions of their art, only to find trussed bodies, skeletal remains....

 Death stalking them
Murder and disease sworn in look tall
 Returning questions boomerang through cities
Incredible acrodynamic machines cry for outer space

Unreliable pillars, unseen are made into history
Yet collapse every day, broken by its weight.

So much pain in this poem, brought tears to my eyes. So very sad.
