Stars tremble in the sapphire skies Erasing the smell of summer Gentling the first thought of autumn Smiling upon the silent moon Inspiring the whisper of wind Stars tremble in the sapphire skies Lonely as hues of solitude Stilling the breathless prayers spoke Wonders glisten through the evening Blessing lives with a waltz, tender Stars tremble in the sapphire skies Raining songs of grace sealed verses Jewels in lights, both strong and fine Glowing in moonlight promises Pure hope laughing on sighs of night Stars tremble in the sapphire skies 2022 Poetry Marathon Mile 12 Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Mark Toney Entered August 13 2022

Your lovely Quatern sings summer goodbye Gina. I am happy that autumn will soon be approaching. Very few trees change here but it does get cooler and stays that way through May. Blessings xxoo

Just love this one Gina. It sets a serene mood with amazing imagery - "lonely as hues of solitude" for one. Best wishes in Mark's contest. Blessings and hugs dear friend.

I adore this form of poetry. It's so versatile when you have a great repeating line to use. Wonderful imagery, Regina.
