Starless Skies

in the absence of stars
i am reminded
of my aloneness

as i stand
on the edge
of my dreams

it's in the silence
of these darkest nights
that i hear your whispers
falling softly around me

i curl myself
within the comfort
found within thoughts

as i drift
to sleep
once more

(trying to get my muse off the virus... with better thoughts)

Virus, virus, virus is on the media, in our minds, on poetry soup, around the globe, going to play scrabble with Hubby to take our minds of this monster. Your poem is a great way to start our game, definitely more relaxed! Hugs and love Sandy - a wonderful write. Jennifer.

I go to sleep praying for all the mourning survivors missing their loved ones. I enjoyed your poem Sandra. I am thankful I am no longer flying and feel sympathy for all my friends who still are. Stay safe. xxoo

- We think about the virus 24 hours a day ... we can't avoid it, Sandra - Beautifully written with a lonely feeling - I hope you don't drive the school bus now ... too many people carrying the infection ... even if they don't know it ... be careful, my friend :) - hugs // Anne-Lise :)
