Staring Into the Abyss
My rhyme is grieving,
epic, and meant to be that way;
words weaving,
death thieving,
and sorrow is with me each day.
We buried new love,
our baby left in the snow;
a sweet dove,
now above,
it shattered us, oh what a blow.
And I was left . . . staring into the abyss.
My beloved left me,
he crashed his car in a snow storm;
God, I plea
why, why he,
1 held his hand wishing it warm.
I lost dad so quick,
and had no chance to say goodbye;
oh, not sick,
what a trick,
when mom left I thought I would die.
And I was left . . . staring into the abyss.
Oh, dark deathly thief,
my grandma went to sleep one night;
I am grief,
a lost leaf,
my words fall bleeding on this white.
