Star Wars Revisited
I watched this strange flick
while I was a young chick
Involving space and futuristic beings
So many handsome men creating steam
Two men it seemed in love with she
This beauty with coils, eyes like the sea
I dreamt of just being in her shoes
Traveling in spaceships, a robot her muse
The quirky suitors,adventure, a theme
Such cool vehicles and speeders, my dream
Blasters and hover crafts, Jedi knights
Carrying strange tools called lightsabers to fight
Adventure, love story all together as one
Incredible theme with loads of fun
Names such as Solo, Yoda and Hut
Tatooine, star fighters, storm troopers that strut
This incredible adventure I watched as a teen
Continued its stories for years it did seem
My child, a son one day he was born
Played with many of these figures outside on the lawn
The stories continued so much we could share
A mother, a son at the screen we would stare
At night I would read these stories of knights
Traveling, chasing Darth Vadar to fight
I loved Naboo, Anakin, r2, and more
Each story captivating us,always wanting more
But sadly my child has become a young teen
Occasionally storm trooper figures are seen
See this story of Star Wars can draw us in
No matter our ages, the Jedi will win
I can watch the movies over and over it seems
For becoming a Jedi knight is one of my dreams
