Star Shining In the Setting Sun

The sun was setting
Casting red upon rippling clouds
Rippling like the sand
The sand upon the shore
When the tide is out

There it was a phenomenon
A star shining before the sun set
It was shining a radiant green
Up there in the Western sky
Right next to the setting red sun

One more moment of awe
One more reason to believe
Only a divine creator
Could do all these wonderful
Acts of nature for man to see

When I look up and see these colors in the pink and violet clouds at sunset, I feel drawn closer to our Lord, Sara. Indeed, the is the Master's canvas and we are blessed with this colorful array many days. You find great inspiration from nature in your poetry, my friend. Beautiful descriptions here! Love, Carolyn

HOw cool, Sara, the way you describe this phenomenon. I am not sure if I've ever seen such a thing, and it was green?? I really liked how you explained it. Very nicely penned. I think you do well with free verse LUv, Andrea
