Star Dust

A flock of angels coming down the sky
like the flakes of snow over a fiery night
one of them took me by the hand
as she melted to my sorrow
loving her was my mistake
I was left with the scent of her grace
her eyes golden brown
with a touch of yellow on the edges
I lost her along the path
she had wings white as snow
as the past turned to ashes
she was gone with the wind
like star dust slipping from ones palm
