We have left you many cave drawings
Built the Great Pyramids everywhere
How dare you ignore our many signs
Stonehenge is our Stargate tether

We left you some of our technology
Which in ways was obviously hoarded
Building blocks of peace and prosperity
We see now has been utterly distorted

There will be a time for this reckoning
Our belief in humankind still remain
We hear billions of you minds beckoning
We are coming now to provide a change

You should try sci fi or an outre short story, Mitch! I do believe that you could pull together something worthwhile! You seem to have an intrinsic feel for it! Good luck and Best wishes from Gerard.

AWESOME, Mitch! I do believe alien races left use signs (pyramids, Nazca lines) as well as technological insight. Perhaps 2012 will be the "star date" when they return to see how we used (or abused) the influences they left behind. This one goes to my favorites. It's a far out concept, and I mean that in a great way. Best wishes in the 2012 contest with this amazing poem! Love, Carolyn
