Stands To Reason
Stands to reason,
I can not stand,
Drop-kicked by life,
Thrown out of my own band
Legs get wobbly
Knees start to creak
And an end to pain
Is all I seek
And the weaker you are
The more the jackels aggress
'Tis the way of nature,
And may seem unfair
But in the end,
Who does really care?
Your Gods have left you
On the plains to die,
And whimper and pray,
And beg to know why
'Tis the way of nature,
Personal it's not
And God does love you,
'Tis just your lot
To be dinner today
Where yesterday you dined,
And if you're on the plate,
You're less inclined
To see this view,
Or trust your mind
'Tis the way of nature,
Always was,
Always will be
And the wisdom of it all,
Is but for Him to see.
