Standing Tall

Salamander
Eating samples
of steak
Standing tall
While the owl on the branches chewing grapes
coffee mongrel shopping pit bull
dancing straight
Standing tall

Always wondered whose on first base
television my religion
has nothing to do with your hate
must be plastic because you're so dramatic
I can't relate
Standing tall

something bothering you
your chewing on your shoe
if you were an animal I would be you
Standing tall
even handed thrown baseballs
writing novels, spitting anvils at the walls
who an I to alter
Standing tall
Salamander
writing novels, spitting marbles in the hall
no encouragement just resentment
after all
standing tall

still coffee mongrels, shopping pit-bulls
dancing straight, still can't relate
all you wanna be is great
Mutual of Omaha, Woodman Tower, 30 Rockerfellow, Eiffel Tower
mirrors on the floors and walls...still
Standing Tall
