Standing Tall
I’ve had many families in this life
of origin school navy and here too
I admit the best ones came with a wife
we all know life at times can be a zoo
I’m no Robert Young from Father knows best
wife and I are planning a family
I’ll have more gray hair coming from no rest
having this life there’s no reason to flee
poetry has renewed my life some how
always knew writing was therapeutic
expressing my true feelings here and now
I can relax when life is real hectic
my life may not be the greatest at all
no matter what I have always stood tall
