Standing Single and Strong For My Son

Biting my tounge to draw blood, All because it turned out you're a dud. I ponder where I went wrong, Then realize it was you all along. I have priorities and you're lost inside, So who really is going to lose their pride? I know where I am and where I am meant to be; Dont you see, I wont let this effect me. Love ruins poetry, It confuses the truth and makes you feel soothed. Well look out because I am back and strong enough this time to attack.

Welcome to poetry soup. As the two fine women said below it's a good place to vent, I have many poems about my son too. Light & Love

I see you know Francine, and she is right what she is telling you. It's strange I see this poem of yours. I too had a similiar situation. My son was very difficult to raise. My daughter, on the other hand, was a breeze. Despite it all, my son is now a lawyer and he is about as happy as he can let himself be. He recently had a baby with a very nice woman who enjoys our family. I'm glad he got rid of the first wife! I hope your son finds the best in life and that he remembers all you have done.

I'm sure you did a lot for him. My son has expressed some gratitude for me recently which I was very grateful to finally hear!

(tongue) great job, poetry will help you vent in a creative way, its the kind of lashing out that releases what needs to be released without the harm. Welcome to poetry soup Marcedy. If you read and comment on others poetry they will likely comment on yours. Lots of info on different forms here as well and of course you can just facebook me if you have a question.
