Stand On the Word.
She stands tall
a pillar of virtue
cloaked in morality.
Looks with disdain upon would be seducers
as she plods through this
sin ridden earth.
Never does she bend to temptation
that sucks at her feet
attempting to woo her.
Leers and jeers do not distract her
nor cloying hands attempting to touch her.
To look into her eyes
is to see an angel sword drawn
ready to defend her.
Weaklings shudder at the sight
leaving dust in the wake of their flight.
Terror awaits those who attempt to seduce her
at the hands of her angel guide.
Over her head God's hand hovers.
Beneath her feet the bible sits.
Standing on the word
she walks the earth
a symbol of faith
a key to purity
an example to others
till her time here is served.
A memory she'll leave to us
who are easily distracted
by the wiles of the world
by frivolous behaviour and
deeds untold.
Stand tall
Stand firm
Women of the world.
Stand on the bible
Stand on the Word........... the word of God.
