Stand Alone In the Waters On the Sea
STANDING ALONE IN THE WATERS ON THE SEAS By James Edward Lee Sr.
In the sea of one
The waters come down
I stand alone
Yet I drown
I will not swim
Nor, will I float, still alone
There is no hope
Though I shall NOT DIE
I say
I spy
I speak aloud I cry
You can't see the tears in my eyes
Cause I am below the waters
Still standing tall
Tall, still below the waters standing
You can't see me crying, ever wanting
Because the sea and I are one
There I am submersed
Floating with no hope, I cope
I say
I spy
I pray
I stand alone in the waters on the seas
