Stained Glass
Looking up from the widow I did see,
The most beautiful markings there ever could be.
A dove shone so brightly in the light
The pattern of colours was so very right.
Although the building was very old.
Those stained glass windows were very bold.
I thought how would you keep them so shiny and clean.
For the greatest of beauty sure did beam.
It must be a skill to make such a gift.
For the joy it brought me, was such a lift.
To turn my eyes yet only for a while,
brought to me a shining smile.
Take time to engage in what brings you hope.
Ascent, a moment to help you cope.
Lookup to see what is above.
Reach for your heart for there is always love
