Stain Glass Beat

Escaping
Within one’s self

Looking out
From the view through my center
of stain glass what was once a strong and full beat
To feel as if I have left this world and have traveled far to a different land

To live without being loved is a torture to the soul
Life seeks love to survive in life

Protecting what is so fragile beneath my skin
The memories that tear the soul in half
Love that turned black
Containing the pain

Reflecting multiple paths
