Squatter Hlm

Hailstones on the mat
A feral Tom cat lingers
Doors that never shut

As hailstones strafe junk mail and mat
Where feral is the alley cat
On one hinge hangs
The door that bangs
And he ain’t going out in that

The feral cat whilst oftentimes homeless, is, it seems, at no time gormless

An excellent entry Terry, exactly what is required - we had an incident outside our gate, 3 older ladies chasing a feral cat, ran our bell, we let them in, distressed screaming it was under our car, a feral 4 month old kitten. Hubby and I stood back whilst one knelt down banging the car, it came out, she clutched it her hands - was bitten and scratched beyond recognition one of the others took a towel and prized it from her hands. The silly one had 3 itches and a tetanus injection. Hugs Jenn.

Thanks, Jennifer. I was beginning to think I’d missed the mark. Your feral tale sounds painful but, in my head, there’s a little voice blending ice cream and feral cats into a Turbo Gran episode. If that happens, I promise to mention you in the credits… no royalties, you understand, just credits ;-) Terry
