Springtime of Winter
Springtime Of Winter
I caught a ray of morning light
That danced in the palm of my hand
As I moved from the shade, it waltzed
Up my arms to my face in a warm ballet
A drop of rain fell upon my forehead
Soothing the heat born from morning light
I caught a breeze in a plastic bag proving
It exists by the fill of the bag, now visible
I ran through the tall greening grass sweet
Full of clovers and pink periwinkles moist
Butterflies fluttered around my head joyously
In vibrant colors that filled my head with rainbows
I looked at the faces of others and saw the flowers
Planted in their souls, in their eyes came a morning
Light that danced in the palm of my hearts hand
Melting the winter chill and setting springtime free
In me
