Springtime Gloom - Andaree

"Love never dies it goes on and on and on." Quote by _Constance I think of my mother most in the springtime, she taught me to grow flowers sublime; I feel happy when they bloom, planting at her tomb. And I sigh, gloom; and I cry, oh, life can be doom ! But wait: Oh, the sweet perfume, so sweet the birdies that sing and chime; I think of my mother most in the springtime.

Yes, beauty can ache when grieving. My Mum's flowers are daffodils - so they too are both sweet and aching. I will echo your other commenters - I like the turn in the poem that says, 'but wait', and the determination to cherish the flowers and the memory. J :)

So much feeling infused into such a restrictive form. Your splendid words flow freely and the emotion warms the reader's heart. So beautifully written Constance. Thank you. A pleasure to read.
