Springtime
Springtime is the most promising time of all in a year.
Ice melts away, the day grows longer and warmer.
Instead of the cold stinging wind,
the mild and pleasant breeze gives life back to all living things
In the early morning, if you wake up with the lovely birds’ sweet songs
and look out of the window, no matter how early it may be,
you always see bright sunlight and soft sprouts shooting out from
tree branches
In the back yard, you’ll see busy squirrels
running back and forth on the grass
that has just turned into green
On a quiet morning, if you visit a nearby park
and walk along the path through the woods
you may even hear the earth wiggling with new lives
Springtime, therefore, is not a time of denial
but for smile and to nod
