Springtime
Springtime
It's here!
We've never needed it more..
Throw open your hearts
Unlock every door
Step over that threshold!
Sun shining so brightly..
Fill you lungs with that freshness
From our pads locked so tightly
Today is the day!
In remission we reel;
Releasing all tension
Or anguish we feel
We remember the words
Of the ancient heart song
That our place in this world
Is complete, Holy, strong
So our vigour renewed
Our compass re-set
We step out in faith
That our hopes will be met
Rejoice in the sunlight!
Join birds as they sing.
Renewed and reshaped now,
In our step there's a Spring
The caged birds are free!
All released like that dove
And soon we'll embrace
All the ones that we love
And my final word on this
As I look back and ponder
May I never trade now
For the prospect of yonder.
