Springtime

What a most amazing day
see spring flowers on display 
shining brightly, their array
charms in every single way!

On this blessed day in May
birds build nests without delay 
see the ground squirrels as they play
hummingbirds are here to stay. 

Butterflies flit round the hay
busy bumblebees won’t stray
feel the new tree branches sway
life is born anew today.
