Spring's Arrival

Snow drifts atrophied
on Spring's arrival,
silently shrinking
into slush puddles
that soon disappear.
Sunlight feels warm
on naked skin;
the air smells fresh,
and songbirds sing.
Daffodils
and tulips,
quickly sprout.
And the
trees turn
green.
