Spring Squirrel

The squirrel,on the big branch looked so soulfully at me. His beautiful, dancing eyes so charming as he if he were trying to say  something. A deep secret, too eloquent to be put in a poem. He turned gracefully, suddenly. His secret? I took it home, very stealthfully. *Original version had error in last line. Thanks, Gershon for alerting me. Apologies to all!* 5/23/2019 12:50 pm PS

I am a squirrel lover. My dad used to spend hours and hours trying to make bird feeders they could not get to. To no avail. One used to get on the deck and hit the glass slider telling him to re-fill their cracked corn bowl when it was empty. For he finally did that to give himself peace.

Wow! Quite a story. I had a squirrel visitor on my deck years ago. We'd sit and talk to one another through the screen. I cried when we had to leave "Mr Squirrel." Panagiota

Squirrels ARE so fascinating. Their frenzied movements...when they 'freeze'...their little personalities. … (soup mail please). Best wishes, gw
