Spring Showers and Queen Bees
the last vestiges of winter
leave with the warming of air
and the strong wind gusting
as the hot and cold clash
in the battle of the Titans
what was frost is now defrost
as I yearn to venture outside
and be hugged by the spring season
sudden downpours alert me to
change in the air
a sniff of flower and sunshine
that warms as it illuminates
torrential rains knock at my window
washing away the old
as queen bees knock at my door
seeking the best real estate
to plant the nest
and start a new family
the very drops of water
I shuddered from in the cold
I now embrace
as a sign
of better days to come
