Spring Returns
Of all the blooms that herald spring's return,
The crocus reigns supreme, a regal sight,
As if the earth has shed its wintry stern,
Its vibrant hues a welcome, bold, and bright.
The petals, delicate as morning dew,
Unfurl like silken ribbons in the breeze,
Bring hope and joy to all that's come anew,
And dance upon the meadow with such ease.
Like tiny cups of hope, they dot the land,
A promise of the life that's yet to come,
And when the snow has melted, they expand,
A symphony of color, one by one.
So let us savor every crocus bloom,
As spring returns and banishes the gloom.
