wow this is so nice. I have a cherry willow tree, Connie. but over time, it transformed to mostly willow and we hardly ever see the pink part any more.

Thank you Andrea. 13 of us got first place and your poem is at the top where I am used to seeing it. Emily‘s form is a bit of a challenge because of the brevity and the syllable count but I thought everyone really did great. Blessings xxoo

this was lovely! Not too long ago I was working in the San Joaquin delta and had to stop and take a pic of a blooming cherry by a willow on the river bank...now I read this and I'm going wow again with the same picture but with deeper beauty added to it this time!! :)

Thank you very much Alexis. This is not a haiku however, it is a newer form I have never tried. The brief syllable count and rhyme make it a challenge. I am off to get some sleep now. You have a great weekend my friend. Blessings xxoo
